Sonic Boom

Sega America initiated this effort to make a cinematic, cross media branch of Sonic, becoming a WiiU exclusive well into production. 

As art & animation director I led the visual development of this ambitious western developed branch, directed 8,000 to 10,000 visual design pieces from character, NPC & enemy designs, to vehicle, prop and world concepts, and on down to set dressing details, as seen in the images below. This art direction was adopted as the visual foundation for the animated TV series

As game director, I worked with project leads to meet the game’s objectives balanced against Sega’s release mandates, and to accommodate the requirements of its cross-media goals.
